Talking about the affright form that he took for the sake of PrahlAda and travelling through the terrifying jungle terrain that escalated the heat of the region, EmperumAn wanted to cool AzhvAr down by showing the steps that leads to tiruvEnkaTam, where he stands to remove the samsAric sorrows of every one amidst a serene atmosphere.

1018. This primordial EmperumAn, with lotus petal like eyes, who being on a meditative state on the widespread tiruppArkaDal, having conches within it, descended as krishNa and annihilated the demon who came in the guise of the most fragrant flowers filled kurunda tree (wild lime tree). He even tore open the mouth of bahAsura who emerged as a wild crane, thus proving to be ever protective about his devotees.
This lord abodes in the most beautiful hills, where springs with abundant waters posses the red carp fish (sem kayal) known as tiruvEnkATam.
Oh! My dear heart, try and reach this abode.

1019. My lord SarvEswaran, the protector of my clan, took the form of an infant, who made the hard hearted pootanA ooze naturally with mother’s milk and while consuming it slurped her life along. He reclines on a meditative state for the sake of his devotees both in ‘tiruppArkadal’ as well as in ‘tiruvarangam’.
This lord propitiated by great preceptors, thrives in krita yugam as white hued, black hued in Kali yugam and blue sapphire hued in dwApara yugam. My dear heart, ever ponder upon the divine feet and attain that mountain of TiruvEnkATam, that holds the lotus feet.

1020. My lord, my benefactor possessing the unparalleled divine pair of lotus feet, ever worshipped by the celestials (nithyasoories), wielding the resplendent chakra in his divine hand is the immaculate one who felled the diabolically strong maruda trees (yamala arjuna trees) by crawling amidst them.
He lifted the gOvardhana mountain instantaneously to protect the cattle from the torrential rain initiated by Indra as a result of his disappointment in not receiving the usual offerings by the people of tiruvAipAdi.
My dear heart, reach TiruvEnkATam the abode of this lord.

1021. In the days of the yore, EmperumAn with his resplendent divine form, taking the side of pAndavAs, went as a messenger to the DuryOdanas asking for their share of the land. When that was vetoed, becoming the charioteer for arjunaA, won the mahAbhAratA war and crowned yudhishtir.
Having extreme compassion towards the people of AyarpAdi, he became the child of gokulam and danced with the gopikas performing rAsa krIdA, permanently holding a place in their hearts.
My dear heart, reach the abode of ‘TiruvEnkATam’, surrounded by orchards filled with small pools and holding the PAvana water body, where this lord of ‘Tiruvidavendai’, abodes too.

1022. Lord sarvEswaran, in vAmanAvatAram, as a young celibate boy, stood for alms, asking for this world, before the generous king of the asurAs, mahAbali in the sacrificial hall. In a single stroke, he felled down the seven demoniac sAll trees (ebony trees) in rAmAvatAr. He possesses the eight hands that wield the divine weapons for the sake of protecting his devotees. He, staying as a lord of tiruppiridi in mount himAlayAs, also abodes eternally in the tirumAlirunchOlai mountains of the south. This EmperumAn who relieved the misery of the elephant gajEndra, from the clutches of the crocodile has taken to reside in TiruvEnkatam, where my heart pls try to attain at the earliest.

1023. During the time of final deluge, (pralaya kAlam) EmperumAn swallows all the seven lOkAs along with its eight directions into his stomach and lies on the single banyan leaf. He mitigated the brilliant milky white Chandra from his curse of weaning and waxing (kshayarOga). He tore open the chest of the valorous hiraNyan with his nails.
Oh! Dear heart reach the abode of tiruvEnkaTam where this lord who took the Nrusimhar form with resplendent teeth and undiminishing valour resides.

1024. Lord almighty, who manifests himself as pancha boothAs namely the earth, water, fire, wind and space, who is worshipped by thousand names is not born, rather incarnates upon his will and
resides in this world eternally. The place that prospers with his presence enjoys dense clouds, mist and the clouds that caress the mountain peaks with orchards surrounded everywhere.

1025. The lord himself becomes, all the 5 elements (panchaboothams), namely sky (ambaram), fire (anal), air (kAl), earth (nilam) and water (jalam). He is the head of the nithyasoories. He is the consort of the chaste Periya PiraaTTi who is eternally seated on the fragrant lotus flower. This lord sarvEswaran, resides in this place called TiruvEnkatam, where the gypsys having waist as slender as the vanji creeper who keep a watch on the reddish crop fields from atop the treehouses.

1026.The merciful lord, emancipates and cuts down the samsAric cycle for those who chant just once, the simple eight syllable ‘ashTAkshara’ mantram that carries his name and repeats it without going back.
The abode of vEnkaTavan is engulfed with the fragrance of flowers from the surrounding orchards. Similar to paramapadam, this place stands as the illuminating factor for all the worlds. My dear heart try to reach the mountains of tiruvEnkaTam.

1027.The king of the people of Tirumangai, also known as kalikandri (the one who reversed the ill effects of Kali) has coined and contributed these 10 verses in the beautiful Tamil language about the consort of Goddess who abodes in TiruvEnkatam enriched with orchards filled with tender kayal fishes. Those who can imbibe them in their hearts and chant these are assured a place in the eternal abode of paramapadam after spending their time in this world surrounded by vast ocean that carry ships on it (10)
