NAMMAZHWAR revealed to Nathamuni the 4000 hymns including “Thiruvaimozhi”, Rahasyatraya and it’s meanings over three consecutive nights. Nathamuni attached apt musical meters to these hymns, consolidated and codified them into 4 categories.
