*TIRUEVVUL MANGALASHASHANAM* TIRUVALLUR SHRI VAIDYA VEERARAGHAVA PERUMAL SAMETA SHRI KANAKAVALLI TAYAR

Completing his sojourn with the Divya Desams of the north,( i.e upto tirunvEnkaTam) AzhvAr enters into tonDai nADu, with a deep desire to experience the region and enters into TIRUEVVUL also known as TIRUVALLUR.

EmperumAn manifested himself ( became prathyaksham) to Shalihotra Maharishi and asked where is the place to reside ?( வசிப்பதற்கு உரிய உள் எவ்வுள்? /vasippadarkku uriya uL evvuL? )and hence came to be referred as TIRUEVVUL OOR. (Kim gruham is the Sanskrit equivalent ) .
TIRUMAZHISAI AZHVAR has also done MangalAsAsanam to this temple.

1058. Lord who incarnated as *RAMA KRISHNA* reclines here. Mentioning RAmAvatAr in the first two lines, the later part describes KrishnAvatAr. 

1058.Distracting and leading RAma and Lakshmana away with the help of the disguised golden deer mArEcha, rAvaNa masking himself in safron clothes (kAshai Adai) came to panchavati and abducted seetha devi to his kingdom. My most valiant lord, my master, (Lord namperumAl) resolved and vanquished his kingdom Lanka in his RAmAvatAram. 
This same lord in krishnAvatAram exhibiting his simplicity stood as proof for the gopikas with bamboo like slender shoulders to mock at him for having stolen the butter in their houses. 
He is the very same lord who reclines in TIRUEVVUL. “evvuL kiDandAnE”. (1)

*AMALANADIPIRAN*by  *TIRUPPANAZHVAR* This Divya Prabandam called AMALANADIPIRAN, finds its place after ‘Tiruppalliyezhuchi’ as the 8th Prabandam in the first set of thousand songs referred as’MudalAyiram’.  Although this is a short and crisp Prabandam with only 10 verses, the philosophy and the theory embedded is ten folds bigger. Engrossed in the beauty or the soundaryam of Periya perumAL, this AzhvAr also referred as pAN perumAl or munivAhana, potrays the lord from tiruvadi to tirumudi (foot to head).  Yoga sAstra, is said to have 8 limbs. Realising the intense intention of the Aychiyar girls to unite with Him, KaNNan is startled and confused at the thought that, “why should the Ayar girls be worried to get united with me, when it is me, who have to be really worried about the union with them?
