After totally surrendering himself to the lord(i.e, having done prapatti), azhvAr pleads TiruvEnkatamudaiyAn to alleviate him into the state of para and paramabakthi, by eliminating all the hurdles that come in way, like ahankAram, mamakAram and give him the state such that he cannot sustain in the absence of the lord.

RAMAVATARAM
1038. RAvaNa the king of the island Lanka surrounded by ocean, had obtained an indestructible body on account of several boons. Lord Rama worshipped by the celestials, in rAmAvatAram, with his divine bow severed the body of RAvaNa.
This Lord, who is the kinship in all ways to the mankind, eternally resides in tiruvEnkaTam. I, who is your servitor, plead you Oh! Lord, to relieve me of all the hurdles (1)

1039. Ages back, when Lanka was ruled by the most arrogant demon kings like mAli and others, who were proud with the thought, that none on earth could beat them, you proved them wrong by defeating and pushing them into the nether world, oh! Lord, while you ascended on your Garuda vehicle along with your Garuda flag. You reside eternally on the mountains of Tirumala, with its tall peaks making the sun and the moon evade away. You are adorned with the cool tulasi garlands. Please shower your mercy on me and protect me. (2)

1040. Consuming the entire water bound ocean, the entire land, and the entire universe, Oh! Lord, you preserved it in your stomach. Exhibiting this fete, you laid on the tender banyan leaf as an innocent child sucking your toe. In the same way, for the sake of your devotees, you have gracefully descended and chose to reside in the hills of Tirumala which is all affluent and well known. As a result, you became the most cherished nectar, that one can resist. I plead you to grace this servitor with the everlasting divine experience. (3)

1041. Taking KrishNAvatAr, with the sole intention of being close to your devotees, you enjoyed consuming the stored butter like nectar. In the interest of the dEvas and their head Indra, you took the short vAmanAvatAr and taking alms from Mahabali, measured the earth with two steps. Oh! Lord, who is the head of the dEvas, you reside in Tirumala with its peaks reaching your divine abode of paramapadam. I stand yearning for your grace, in bestowing upon me the pleasure of serving you. (4)
The swAbaDesam or the inner meaning reveals two of lord’s attributes, one being sowlabhyam where He is born in the cowherd clan and the second being His parathvam, where he takes the gigantic Trivikrama form to measure this world. (4)

1042.Executing the Narasimha avatar, residing inside one of the pillar, causing no doubt of thought, in the palace that was personally commissioned by hiraNyan, you came out for the sake of protecting your devotee PrahlAd and tore open hiraNya’s chest, who refused to accept the fact of your supremacy. With the same might you are seated on the hills of TiruvEnkatam. Oh! Lord who relaxes on serpent bed!, bestow upon me, similar kind of servitude that AdisEshan offers you.

1043.My lord my master, establishes His grace by relieving me from this uncertain human life as short as a lightning and takes me closer to Him as His servitor. He is stationed in Tirumala where the lightning filled clouds gather and wander, having a beautiful form as majestic as an elephant. He is my protector, who resides in my heart eternally with PiraaTTi. (6)

1044. Oh! swAmi, with majestic mountainous shoulders, for the sake of nappinnai PiraaTTi, possessing the beautiful coy eyes like the deer, you killed the seven ferocious bulls that roamed amidst the cows with great animosity towards her. Oh! Lord, who is as sweet as nectar, you are stationed in the hills of TiruvEnkatam and at the same time having taken me as your servitor, you stay filled in my heart eternally. (7)

1045. Lord EmperumAn, is closer and easily accessible to those who truly believe in him and vice versa to others. This wonderous lord, entering my heart is dwelling eternally there. He is the very same lord who is stationed in Tirumala, where the whitish pearls and precious gems, that are blown out from the split bamboo shoots and scattered all over. Other than enjoying the divine service for this lord ( bagavath kainkaryam ), I wish nothing else in this world. (8)

1046.Leaving the primordial form of luminance at its source the paramapadam , Oh! Lord, you descended down, upon your compassion and locating my heart, resided eternally there. Oh! Lord who is the seamless brilliant light (nandhAdha kozhum sudarE)yourself, who is the only reliable source, for we the devotees (engaL nambI), you are the blemish less precious gem stationed in the hills of Tirumala. Now that you have taken this servitor, who is me as your possession, Adiyen has resolved not to leave your lotus feet at any cost. (unnai enDRum viDEn). (9)

1047.Tirumangai AzhvAr, whose contour of the firm shoulders resembles that of an assemblage of a mountain, has strung this garland of ten verses in connotation with the ever sparkling blue gem hued EmperumAn possessing well pronounced shoulders residing in the hills of Tirumala, where multitude of divine hunters stay, ever ready with their bows and arrows in the way of protecting him. Those who master these verses with its meanings shall be blessed to perform divine kainkaryam similar to the nithyasoories. (10)
