This lord resides within all elements as antharyAmi, namely the sun, moon, the space, the air, the fire, mountains , oceans, fire, all the worlds surrounded by water .

Adorning himself with a garland made of skull from the deceased (vEndAr enbum) and smearing himself with the ashes of the dead (sudu nIRum meyyil pUsik), lord shiva wandered around all the lokAs, in despair seeking help, to remove the stuck brahma kabAlam that had holes and could never be filled by anyone, from his hand that he acquired on account of a curse. He finally went to sarvEshwaran and pleaded..
“My swAmi, my saviour (en EndhAy!), please get this curse rid off me”. That very moment, he got rid of his curse, when you sprinkled the nectarous water from your chest.

996.An assemblage of srivaishnavAs, ever immersed in Bagavath kainkaryam (toNDAm inamum), the nithyasoories (imaiyOr), the Brahmins who wear two strands of sacred thread on their chest, all approach the lord of this ksEtram discretely, pleading him, “Oh!, lord who govern the entire universe, protect us, we who are your devotees”.
This lord resides here in the picturesque shAlagrAmam, where bees hovering groves along with water bodies are found all over the surroundings. The kayal fish of the paddy fields leaps and rejoice as the cool lotus flower blooms.
My dear heart, reach this place called ‘shAlagrAmam’.
