TIRUCHCHANDAVIRUTAM. TIRUMAZHISAI AZHVAR

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 *TIRUCHCHANDAVIRUTAM* by *TIRUMAZHISAI AZHVAR*. Tirumazhisai AzhvAr, also known as bhaktisAran has rendered two prabandams,nAnmugan tiruvandAdi and thiruchchandaviruttam. This second prabandam is added to the first thousand and his first prabandam is added to third thousand called "iyarpA". Tiruchchandaviruttam  as the name suggest is written in viruttam style and is a prosody with rhythmic metre. AzhvAr has played with numbers while explaining about the creation and the brahmam in the first decade. What is viruttam?  A verse consisting of four lines(நான்கு அடிகள் ) and a same set of syllables (சமமான சீர் பெற்ற) in each line is called viruttam. As this prabandam has rhythmic meters and set in viruttam style, this has come to be known as *TIRUCHCHANDAVIRUTTAM*. Tirumazhisai AzhvAr has delved deep in all kinds of philosophies and was finally brought to the path of vaishnavism by PEyAzhvAr. He is so strong in his, words and never frightened to express his views.

PERUMAL TIRUMOZHI 10 PASURAMS 741 TO 751   angkan nedDumadil   *RAMAYANA SANGRAHAM* kulasEkara perumAl moves from Vibhava form ( the incarnation state) to archa form (the idol state). Reminded of GOVINDARAJA PERUMAL of TILLAI NAGARAM, he sees him as rAma of chitrakooTam and wishes to sing about rAma. Hence this kshEtram is known as *TIRUCHITTIRAKOODAM* also referred as “punDareekapuram”. He sings the essence of entire rAmAyaNa in this decade. As this Azhwar is so much engrossed with rAma and this entire Tirumozhi is about rAmAyaNa, it is called RAMAYANA SANGRAHAM.   741 SHRI RAMA JANANAM (BALA KANDAM) 741 * angkaNedu madhiL pudai sUzh ayOdhdhi ennum * aNi nagaraththu ulaganaiththum viLakkum sOdhi * vengkadhirOn kulaththukkOr viLakkAyth thOnRi * viN muzhudhum uyak koNda vIran thannai ** sengkaNedung karumugilai irAman thannaith * thillainagarth thiruchchithrakUdam thannuL * engkaL thani mudhalvanai emperumAn thannai * enRu kolO! kaN kuLirak kANum nALE (2) (1) In the world’s most picture

PERUMAL TIRUMOZHI - 9*

*PERUMAL TIRUMOZHI 9* *PASURAMS 730—740* *Van tALiNai* (thanayan vanam pugath dhasarathan pulambudhal) In this decade AzhvAr talks about the misfortune of king dasharathA. He thinks that, there can be none like DasarathA, who would have    suffered to this extent, the separation of rAma. DasarathA's grief and regret of sending rAma to the forest is vividly explained here. 730 * vanthALiniNai vaNangki vaLanagaram thozhudhEththa * mannanAvAn ninRAyai * ariyaNai mEl irundhAyai * nedungkAnam padarap pOgu enRAL ** em irAmAvO! * unaip payandha kaikEsi than soRkEttu * nanRAga nAnilaththai ALviththEn * nanmaganE! unnai nAnE (1) 730. Oh! My dear son rAma! Getting to know the excitement of the entire subjects of Ayodhya and the chieftains, who respect you, greet you and honour you by falling at your feet, on making you the next heir to the throne, I got overwhelmed in making all the arrangements for crowning you. Later listening to the words of kaikeyi, I had to dethrone you and send you to
