244.Oh! beautiful damsels, come and have a look at the sight of my ocean hued Kannan coming behind the calves after grazing, with His turban cloth  covering on one side and the flame lily (செங்காந்தள் பூ)on the other ear. With a small kucham and a cloth above it, adorned with pearl chains he comes walking. There can be none on earth who has given birth to  a wonderful child like me. (1) 



தோன்றிப்பூ (thondripoo)also referred as செங்காந்தள்( senganthal) in the pAsuram.

245.Oh! Kesava, MadhusUdana! Who abodes in Tiruvarangam (தென்னரங்கம்),with its strong ramparts and cool groves situated in the southern banks of Cauvery, as a hard hearted woman, I woke you up early in the morning and sent you into the woods after feeding you to graze the calves the whole day. None on earth will be so harsh like me. Oh!  my little Kuttan please give me a kiss! (2)

246. O dAmOdarA! Taking the cattle into the thick forest, you let them graze going behind them to keep them together and return back wearing Kodal [kAr kOdal poo] flowers. Look at yourself fully covered with fine dust from the calves. Oh! my dear child! The beloved of nappinai[nappinai manAlA] as beautiful as the peacock, I have kept everything ready for you to bathe. Come and eat after your shower. Your father is also waiting to eat with you. (3)

247. O Lord of Venkata hills! (veNkatavA), enriched with fragrant orchards. Oh!dark hued matador[karum pOrerE]! You left for grazing the calves without taking your favourite stuff like umbrella, sandals and flute that I had bought for you. Your Lotus feet would have been swollen and your eyes turned reddish due to the scorching heat. (4)

248.O lion of the AyarpAdi clan, your thunderous blowing of the conch pAnchajanyam makes the enemies shiver In fright. You are the beloved of Seeta. Oh! My little son with beautiful red eyes[shengaN mAlE]! Did you go behind the cows for grazing and returned back along with other cowherd boys, leaving your waist cloth and a pretend toy sword on the bed? (5)

249: aNYjudaraazhi un_kaiyakaththu Endhum azhakaa!* nee poykai pukku*
naNYjumizh n^aagaththinOdu piNaNGgavum* naan uyir vaazhndhirundhEn*
en seyya ennai vayiRu maRukkinaay?* Edhum Or achchamillai*

249. O beautiful Lord[azhagA], holding the magnificent Sudarshana chakra! I am still alive ,seeing your dreadful act of jumping into the pond to fight the poisonous snake. You instil fear in my stomach. Aren’t You afraid? O Lord, having the complexion of kAyam flowers![ kAyam poo vaNNam] your act might please kamsa. (6)

250: panRiyum aamaiyum meenamumaakiya* paaRkadal vaNNaa!* unmEl-
kanRin uruvaaki mEypulaththEvandha* kaLLa asurar thannai*
senRu pidiththuch siRu kaikaLaalE* viLaNGgaay eRindhaay pOlum*
enRum enpiLLaikkuth theemaikaL seyvaar_kaL* aNGganam aavar_kaLE.* (7)

250. O milky ocean hued lord, who took the form of wild boar and tortoise, You killed the demons who came to kill you in the disguise of calves. You lifted the calves and threw it on the VilAm tree (wood apple) so as to make the fruit fall and thus killed them. 
Those who intend to harm You, my child, will be finished thus. (7)

251. kesavA! I listen to unusual things about you, that I have never heard before. I believe, You mixed and ate all the rice, vegetables and yoghurt, that were offered to Indra by the cowherd folks.
 I am scared, I can’t even feed you like this for one single time,then I doubt I have enough wealth to feed you every day. O vAsudevA! With undaunted fame! I am scared of your miraculous deeds from now on. (8)

252: thiNNaar veNsaNGgudaiyaay!* thirun^aaL thiruvONam inREzhun^aaL* mun-
paNNOr mozhiyaaraik koovimuLaiyattip* pallaaNdu kooRuviththEn*

252. Oh! Lord, who possess the solid white conch! The auspicious day of Your birthstar shravanam falls on the seventh day from today. To celebrate this, I have made been sprouts and invited women with melodious voice to sing praises for you. I have prepared and kept rice and curry for this special occasion. Hence, my dear child you need not go behind the calves from tomorrow. Dress up nicely and be at home kaNNa. (9)

253.The good hearted YashOdA, with her waist as thin as the hooded snake, rejoiced seeing her son ‘Govindan’, return from grazing he cows. Vishnuchittah residing in Tenpiduvai (Srivilliputhur), where modest people live, has elaborated her feelings in these ten verses. Those who wish to learn and sing these lines will be blessed to reach the lotus feet of the ocean hued lord [Kadal vaNNan]. (10)
