297. Similar to a beautiful lotus pond that losses its beauty when the lilies shed their pollen and the inner petals as the dew drops fall on them, my house looks empty without my daughter! I can’t find her anywhere. Has she gone behind the One who killed the wrestlers [mallarai attavan] and entered AyarpAdi in the outskirts of Mathura? (1)

298. Just as the cowherds, who have the least of worldly knowledge, inner enlightenment and smartness steal the calves, nArAyanan has taken my young daughter along with Him. Won’t this act of conspiracy in taking my obedient daughter bring an everlasting disgrace for the family? (2)

299.Decking up my daughter with wedding attire and jewels, performing the auspicious rituals and making her the bride, announcing her to be betrothed with DAmodaram in front of everyone, making this devi of the devAdirAjan circumambulate and do Pooja for the peepul tree according to the ritual of the community, will they celebrate my daughter’s wedding in a grand manner beating the drums and decorating the whole place with garlands? (3)

 300.Possessing a single daughter, with renowned fame and glory, I raised her like Sri Lakshmi herself. But now this reddish eyed TirumAl (செங்கண்மால்) has taken her away with Him. Will YashOdA, the great woman who has the pride of being the mother to the great child Krishna, willingly accept my daughter and feel elated seeing her daughter in law and take good care in all respects? (4)

Looking at her beautiful fish shaped eyes, red lips, slender waist and broad shoulders will he wonder how the mother of this beautiful girl could stay separated from her? (5)

Thinking that the consent and the compatibility of the bride and the groom is sufficient for the marriage, as done in certain communities, will they just leave without conducting the marriage ceremony for my daughter? Oh such a thing should not happen! Will the Lord who kicked shakatAsuran to death, marry my daughter amidst a great pomp and show for all the people of the city and country to know? (6)

Or accept her and treat her equally with all the other wives in the palace?  Will he lead a good life with her showing love and affection giving her the position to lead their clan? (7)

304. Oh! Damsel, [ nangAi]! Nandagopan’s son, kannan, has neither followed His family tradition and custom nor that of the world in taking her as the bride. Oh! Won’t my daughter emaciate due to the continuous churning of curds, that might even leave a mark on her tender palms? (8)

All these are elaborated by PattarpirAn of Puduvai as a mother’s lament in this decade. Those who recite this will become devotees of the sapphire coloured Lord[maNivnnanukku]. (10)

THIRUPPAVAI PASURAM 1 Andal assumes herself to be the cowherdess of  ‘AyarpAdi’, awakens her peers to follow a certain discipline in view of attaining everlasting happiness and service to the Lord. Eventually selecting the month of “MARGAZHI” and as a monthlong process she sang 30 pAsurams (one for each day) for the “PAVAI NONBU”, called “THIRUPPAVAI”. NACHCHIYAR TIRUMOZHI 14 PASURAMS 637 to 646 *paTTi mEyndOr* After all the hardships that AndAl faced in uniting with the Lord, that she explained starting from " thaiyoru thingkaLum “, finally she gets relieved by having a darshan of the Lord when He shows up, which she explains interestingly in this last decade, as a conversation between herself and her gopika friends. AndAl, in the first half of each pAsuram putsforth a question asking,  "have you seen (கண்டீரே) kaNNan?" describing about Him. The later half comes as an answer saying (விருந்தாவனத்தே கண்டோமே) " *virundAvanaTTE kaNDOmE"* by the gopis.  PERIAZHVAR THIRUMOZHI. PALLANDU. Pasurams- 1 - 12 During his triumph procession through the streets of Madurai city, emperumAn showed himself along with PiraaTTi to  periyAzhwAr. On seeing bhagavAn in the most beautiful form  revealing  his auspicious qualities such as saundharyam (beauty), etc., AzhvAr was concerned and out of great fear started  thinking that, “in this world which is controlled by kAlam (time), what bad might happen to him?, and what evil eyes people might cast on Him”.
